This was my first Spring/Summer London Fashion Week Catwalk and I couldn’t have been more excited! After a long time admiring the collections in the Designer Showroom and then some impressive cake in Cutter & Squidge I walked over to Freemasons’ Hall, about 15 minute walk from the BFC Show Space in Soho.
It was nice and relaxing walking through the busy streets of Covent Garden and the Freemasons’ Hall was really pretty impressive. There was an incredible buzz and queue outside, photographers took pictures and there were again so many bloggers dressed in amazing street style looks! There were a few fashion celebs in the front row, including Pandamonia, an artist who dresses as a human blow up doll!
In the morning I had to shelter under a shop store front when suddenly started raining and it took some time to get everyone into the show space. Winter felt as if it was fast approaching and it was starting to get quite cold so it was really lovely seeing Ashley Isham’s bright, block print, fun floral summer holiday feel collection.
Thin layers of lace and floating fabric gave the whole collection a summer feel and pinwheel headpieces and flower garlands really reminded me of summers spent at the beach. This was a collection that everyone could enjoy and it really harped back to fun summer times spent with family and friends.
It really had a sense of good girl gone bad, the models were vibrant and took some took selfies going among the runway. The dresses were really etheral and accentuated the female form, creating beautiful silhouettes and floral snapbacks were worn with feminine dresses. The show started off with semi naked buff men showcasing the men’s swim short range which is always a plus if you ask me 😉
Here are some of the looks from the show! I hope you like them! Abi xxx
Ashley Isham is Malay-Singaporean like me so I have to say I’m super jealous that you got to go!! His clothes are quirky and beautiful!
