2015 Countdown

I hope that this New Year  brings you and your families peace, joy, prosperity and success, but most importantly of all, that in 2015, all of your wishes come true ❤

So, 2015 HERE WE COME! I can’t believe it was almost a year ago that I started My Girls On Tour. We have done so many incredible things since that day in March and so many of my dreams have already come true thanks to you! I love reading your comments, lovely messages and blogs and hope that you will keep making me and others smile in the New Year. For me the New Year is a chance to start afresh, to better myself and gather my thoughts! My family and I always try to do something special, from fireworks and dinners to fancy dress parties, its a great time of year and my heart fills with excitement at things to come.

So below are some of my top moments of 2014 as well as a few things that I hope I will get do and change in 2015!

So happy 2015! It’s going to be a great year 😉

10. Saying Goodbye to 2013

2013 for me was a bitter sweet year. I came out of a very long relationship and had to say goodbye to my first love which was very hard, but I also had some incredible moments with my friends and family who were amazing. I had been working very hard in the city as a paralegal so a summer with Laura, Naomi, Estelle, Sheena and so many others was amazing. From festivals to Euro trips I couldn’t remember having so much fun and when we stood on the banks of the Thames and watched the Fireworks with a bottle of Champagne in our hands, I couldn’t of been happier to see what new chapter life had in stall for me in 2014.

9. Law School

In September 2013 after leaving my job as a paralegal in the City of London, I accepted my place at BPP Holbon to do my LPC and Masters in Business in order to qualify as a solictor. 2014 was filed with exams and papers ( that I didn’t mention very often on the blog), meeting some amazing minds and having a great time learning. I am so happy to say that I am now almost finished, having passed almost 15 exams in 2014 and I am a Legal Councel of an Energy Company! 🙂

8. Friends

This year I feel that I have met so many lovely friends, both in person and online. I wasn’t one for forming virtual relationships but after writing backwards and forwards and reading posts and seeing photos I feel as if I have got to know some of you quite well! 🙂 From university to meeting Gustavo’s childhood friends in the South of France, Skype calls, parties and new family, I am so pleased that I will be going into 2015 knowing so many nice people.

7. Starting My Girls On Tour with Gustavo the man behind the lense

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 31,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 11 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Starting blogging in March 2014 has changed my life. I had played professional tennis whilst living in Barcelona a few years ago and ever since then have wanted to re-create the feeling of excitement and wonderlust that I experienced whilst playing on the WTA Tour. Writing and sharing with your my outfits and travels has really given me a creating outlet and hopefully will inspire others in areas of history, culture, fashion and haute couture. Working with Gustavo has been so lovely and without his help behind the camera and his encouragement none of this would of happened. Through My Girls On Tour I feel that I have met so many fascinating people and new friends, I just love it.I never thought that it would ever happen when I got my first visitor and my first ever post for its first ever “Like”. From 10 followers on Instagram to 100, to 1,000 to now almost 10,000 I still can’t believe that so many enjoy what I write and also our pictures. Thank you so much for your support and for making me smile<3

6. Traveling around Europe

We have been on numerous trips this year, but none so fun as those just on our backdoor. I really enjoyed our summer road trip around Portugal and Spain where I got to visit the Alhambra something that I had wanted to see for a long time. The flower fields of Kokenhof were so beautiful and King’s Day in Amsterdam with my darling Naomi and one of my best friends in the world was so much fun! And most recently, the wonders of Cinquerre Terre and Florence, climbing up the Leaning Tower of Pisa and break dancing with a bold midget with Stella = major damage to the Bucket List

5. Collaborating and incredible Designers and Brands

I never thought that it would ever happen when I got my first visitor and my first ever post for its first ever “Like”, so when we started getting email from incredible designers and brands asking to collaborate I was amazed and so happy! Some of my favorites have been working with Daniela, founder of Castellano Ethnic Origins, White Picket Frock boutique, on set at Lookbook Store shoot, showcasing River Island’s new collection, Samsung events and so many more! We have some very exciting projects that we have been working on and ones that we have coming up that I can’t reveal yet, but let’s just say that 2015 looks like it will be a great year! 😉

4. Hosting our Fashion Parties

In 2014 I decided to found Chelsea Women’s Fashion and Networking Society, a place where fashionistas and those with a keen interest in fashion could meet, have a great time, talk blogging and meet new designers and get sneek peeks of collections and invites to shows. We had some great moments and I met some lovely ladies and new friends. We did some great events which people really enjoyed and my highlight was our White Picket Frock Event which was held in Cafe Kaizen.

3. Victoria’s Secret Show London

Being invited to be a part of Victoria’s Secret Show and London Experience was amazing and something I had never thought possible. It was so last minute, which made it even better. The atmosphere was incredible and the show simply stunning. From Ed Sheeran to the beautiful models, the backdrop and the after party I felt as if I was in a dream. It was definitely a highlight of my year!

2. Sitting Front Row At London Fashion Week

Going to King’s College, I had often walked passed Somerset House Fashion Week, had gazed longlingly through the large gate but had never thought in my wildest dreams that I would actually get to go. When it happened I was pretty nervous but also very excited. The collections were stunning and the pre-shows so much fun – a real girl’s paradise, from make-up to goodie bags and champagne. My favorite show as the Emerging Trends Catwalk because of the range and number of designers that we got to see in one evening and because Synergy Boston were so nice! 🙂

1. Your Support

I know this sounds cheesy, but one of my biggest highlights was the support that I have had since starting the blog. At first I didn’t want to put my name to it or even tell my friends and family about it because opening up and being quite public with your thoughts can be quite embarrassing and scary at first. I thought I would get more negativity thrown my way but really all I have had is kind words, support and positivity. The world is a better place than people make out and the blogging community is just so supportive, inspiring and kind. Truly thank you, especially to you John, Tom, Isabelle and Prudence ❤

For 2015 my aim is to finish my two masters and to keep blogging and really try to learn more about the fashion industry and discover new emerging designers. I shop a lot on the high street, so I’d like find clothes from different sources, which are perhaps more original. I would love to go to London Fashion Week again and my dream would be to go to New York Fashion Week. It would be great to collaborate with another Fashion Blogger on a project, something which I have never done before. As for travel, there is talk of an Indian wedding on the cards so I would love to go to India and be able to get a better insight into Indian Culture. I would really like to go to South East Asia, especially to Thailand and to some exotic places filled with history and sun such as Peru, Hawaii, Bali and Greece. Most places in the US are also very high up on my Travel Bucket List for 2015! Finally as my New Year’s Resolution I would like to do some more exercise and get fit. Finally I would love to meet more of you in person and can’t wait to read your amazing blogs.

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions? Do you stick to them normally? Any special trips or things to achieve or do in the coming year? If so I would love to hear about them!

Thank you for being a part of my 2014 ❤ ❤ ❤

I am an ex-professional tennis player and have just graduated from King's College in London. I share daily fashion outfits and stories of my travels and the tour. Every story has a beginning, but I will start mine here, at the start of something big. For us this was a journey of a lifetime, where dreams were made and broken, where friendships were cherished and torn apart. We lived and still live the life of aspiration and we tell the tale of victories and defeats that come with growing up at such a young age on the brink of greatness and fame. In our world youth, beauty and riches combine. We trained hard but played even harder. Our parties’ were and always will be legendary, our travels exotic and carefree. We were becoming stars. My Girls On Tour showcases street style looks, avant-garde fashion, new designers, fashion shows as well as travel stories and adventures. A fun window into the glamorous world of a professional tennis player turned fashionista, this is the place for wonderlust and fashion inspiration.
