Does it make me a fashion bad ass if I have a cult legend bad ass on my jumper? Probably not and no, grannies definitely don’t get put off from queue jumping me at Iceland because of it…However, it does seem as though Bart Simpson’s provocative “Eat My Shorts” campaign has definitely secured him a place amongst the fashion industry’s rebel proteges and really, like all break out characters who end up forming a career for themselves, there should be some corner of the internet, (as well as a little corner of hell) especially reserved for them… and luckily for you, the naked Kim Kardashian bum pic jumpers had sold out before I could get my order in…
There is something about Bart that makes anything that he endorses edgy and rebellious. Indeed, his attitude and pride at underachieving caused many parents and educators to cast him as a bad role model for children, whilst they themselves couldn’t get enough of him. (The children, not the educators!) T-shirts reading “I’m Bart Simpson. Who the hell are you?” were banned in several public schools and yet when Bartmania was at it its peak, 1 million were being sold a day. So guess what Rihanna, we have seen it ALL before (really we have!) and move over United Colours of Benetton with your “Unhate” campaign… Because sometimes shocking can be as simple as a little yellow teenager shouting Aie Caramba! ;P
This jumper is a Jeremy Scott lookalike from his Bart Simpson Collection. It is so warm and snugly I just love it and it is perfect for winter! I combined it here with my yellow backpack for an eye catching look. I hope you like it! 🙂 Abi xxx

When I read your message I looked it up and yes it was 10 degrees! I was shocked when I found out, it just felt so cold, but 10 isn’t that bad! Perhaps it is because we have had a pretty good summer and Autumn, so I have lost my hardiness! Lets hope it stays around 10, but I have a feeling it won’t 😦 Abi xxx

“Murricans” say a “sweater”, not a jumper! 🙂
And we’re closer to the US.
Enjoy Italy.

Love it – wish I had one – although I’m not sure I could pull it off! I love The Simpsons but I’d never thought about Bart in the fashion context until this post.

The Simpsons are the best right?! So glad you like the look 🙂 The jumpers can be found on all sorts of pages online and they really aren’t expensive 🙂 Perhaps this year a Bart Simpson Jumper instead of a Christmas jumper to instill a bit of mischief into the festive air? 😉 Thank you for your lovely comment, Abi xxx

What nobody seems to appreciate is that it takes a lot of hard work to be the class clown and come up with all those antics. Principal Skinner really should be giving Bart Simpson an achievement award.

Hahaha your comment is great! Love it! Yes Bart Simpson is by far the most interesting of all the kids, his prank phone calls are legendary. Glad you liked the post and the Simpson homage jumper 🙂 Abi xxx
