Feeling Feline

Are you a cat or a dog person?Loyal or Royal? Death by licking or Death by fur ball? I do love all things fluffy, but I have to admit that I am definitely Team Féline, especially after discovering Brian Lichtenberg’s Céline to Féline collection 😉

My love for cats stems from a young age when my parents gave me two little kittens, one ginger and white called Mischief, the other black and white called Jessica. The oldest oldest one of the two, Jessica sadly died at the ripe old age of 20 this year, which in human years is like 1,000 😦 Now that I don’t have a cat of my own, I have to fight the urge of making the awkward social faux-pas of asking people if I can come round to stroke their pussy… So as an alternative to being arrested for being a pervert, I thought that it would be better to go Lady Dinah’s Emporium in Shoreditch – a cat cafe, where you can go to pet cats to your hearts content and eat cake whilst you do it! Hurray!

We went there early one morning, but apparently there are quite a few weirdos who don’t mind drinking cappuccinos with cat bums in their faces. When we arrived at Lady Dinah’s Emporium without a reservation it wasn’t just expensive, it was also booked up for months! So, tiered of waiting, I decided today that I would create my own “Cat Cafe” and to do that I would need coffee, cake and a Feline – My Brian Lichtenberg Féline Beanie 😉 What I love about Brian Lichtenger is the way he parodies and changes famous brand names, distorting them but also still keeping the format the same so that fashionistas can recognize the original brand. Céline is changed to Féline , Hermes, is changed to Homies, The North Face is changed to Da Cute Face, Burberry to Burrrb its so Icy.  I wanted to make my hat the focus of my look, so I have worn it here to my local cafe with an all black leather ensemble for a cool street look. Let me know what you think 🙂

I am an ex-professional tennis player and have just graduated from King's College in London. I share daily fashion outfits and stories of my travels and the tour. Every story has a beginning, but I will start mine here, at the start of something big. For us this was a journey of a lifetime, where dreams were made and broken, where friendships were cherished and torn apart. We lived and still live the life of aspiration and we tell the tale of victories and defeats that come with growing up at such a young age on the brink of greatness and fame. In our world youth, beauty and riches combine. We trained hard but played even harder. Our parties’ were and always will be legendary, our travels exotic and carefree. We were becoming stars. My Girls On Tour showcases street style looks, avant-garde fashion, new designers, fashion shows as well as travel stories and adventures. A fun window into the glamorous world of a professional tennis player turned fashionista, this is the place for wonderlust and fashion inspiration. 2. When people inquire about pets, I respond, “I have 2 dogs, 4 barn cats, 3 milk goats, 11 ducks, and 1 wife”. My hat is blaze orange (just got a camo verson in blaze orange), which goes with our Kabota tractor. If I were in London (only with the wife), we’d be waiting at the National Theatre for day-of-show tickets.

    1. Awww that would be the cutest thing! The first few months when they are all puppies I am pretty sure the place will be fully booked, VIP only! Little furries are the best 🙂 I am thinking of one day getting a dog, I have a feeling that when I do though I might switch teams… 🙂 Abi xxx
